This role will involve seeing patients, without prior contact with their GP, in order to establish a rapid and accurate diagnosis and management plans, requesting / undertaking investigations to facilitate diagnosis and treatment choice, understanding the information gained and relative sensitivity and specificity of diagnostic tests such as x-rays and blood tests. You will interpret and act upon results to aid diagnosis and the management plans of patients, delivering programmes of supported patient self-management, to facilitate behavioural change, optimise individual physical activity, mobility, and independence, aiming to minimise the need for pharmacological interventions. The 6 practices of City Care Alliance Primary Care Network serve 39,000 Patients as part of the Leicester City CCG.

As a successful candidate, you will use your clinical expertise and decision-making skills to determine the best course of action for patient care. You are a qualified physiotherapist, a self-starter and want to make a difference to people and the Practices. You have experience of a working in a GP practice or community role. You are happy to work autonomously, flexible/adaptable to a fast-changing environment. You will be a confident communicator, focus well under pressure with excellent interpersonal skills. You understand the important of accuracy and attention to detail and good communication.
