This is an amazing opportunity join our Clinical Services Team for City Care Alliance PCN as a Physicians Associate. The role is F/T or P/T per week with an attractive pay package that is dependent on experience. These are exciting times – come and join us!
We acknowledge that there is a long-term political aim for primary care to work together in this way but, within the PCN, also feel that it is important that Practices can maintain their identities and be respected in decision making and communication. During the first couple of years of our PCN, we have seen great benefits in sharing good practice, achieving projects, recruiting, and sharing staff, and more recently in supporting each other during the coronavirus outbreak and vaccination programme.
City Care Alliance constitutes the following member practices;

The role will take primary responsibility for providing first point contact care for patients presenting with undifferentiated, undiagnosed problems, utilising history-taking, physical examinations and clinical decision-making skills to establish a working diagnosis and management plan in partnership with the patient (and their carers where applicable).
The candidate will undertake clinical sessions at practices within the PCN, face-to-face, telephone and online consultations and management of patient’s with long-term conditions. In addition, the candidate will offer specialised clinics following appropriate training including, but not limited to, family planning, baby checks, COPD, asthma, diabetes and anticoagulation with home visits as well as participation in duty rotas, providing health/disease promotion and prevention advice to patients.
The candidate will utilise clinical guidelines and promote evidence-based practice, partaking in clinical audits, significant event reviews and other research and analysis tasks as well as participating in CPD to keep up to date with evidence-based knowledge and competence in all aspects of their role.
